Charlotte’s Web

The much-loved children’s book, Charlotte’s Web, is a soon-to-be-released movie. They have a delightful, interactive website that just might be worth linking to in your children’s areas. It includes an introduction of all the characters, and photos from the movie. There’s an area with games, an area with downloadable coloring sheets, an area where kids can submit their own art, and even an option to send an e-card.

The coolest area, though is an area called the “Fan Fiction Library” where kids can write and submit their own story. The stories are then rated by other users.

So, here’s a connection of marketing, libraries, social software, gaming, and resources for educators. Wonderful.
